The protagonist in the film is super interesting which is one of the many reasons the film gets so much love. He's quiet, methodical, and lonely. I wanted to create a minimal illustration that captured that loneliness. I thought Ryan Gosling did a great job of capturing this through his facial expressions throughout the film. I tried to capture that in his portrait.
